Sustainability Science Centre and UCPH’s Working Group for Global Development are proud to present a sustainability lecture on 14 March 2017 by Mogens Lykketoft.

This talk is about the preparation for the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals to become a reality and how the goals should provide a harmonic future for this planet.

Mogens Lykketoft is an economist and a politician and has been in Parliament since 1981. He served as Minister for taxation, for finance and for foreign affairs for the Social Democratic Party and was a Speaker of Parliament. He was the President of the United Nations General Assembly 2015-2016 during the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement.

Katherine Richardson, Professor in Biological Oceanography, Leader of Sustainability Science Centre, will moderate the talk.

Following the talk, representatives of SSC and UCPH’s Working Group for Global
Development will initiate a discussion on how we all can contribute to SDG implementation.
