University Post nominated in Denmark's best specialty media category

Specialty media — The University Post has been nominated for an Anders Bording media prize, to be awarded by the Association of Danish Media on 23rd June at Copenhagen’s City Hall.

The Association of Danish Media Danske Medier has published the nominees for the Anders Bording awards 2017, which are given to Danish specialty/trade media.

The University Post, together with videnskab.dk and SCENARIO magazine, has been nominated for the media prize, which according to the association is given to a specialty or trade medium that “is particularly able to reach its target group and / or build a business model and that should therefore serve as inspiration for others.”

On the same occasion, the Association of Danish Media will also award the Anders Bording Journalist Prizes. Here the nominees are Asger Havsteen Eriksen, Morten Halskov and Asger West, from the Fagbladet 3F, for the ‘death on the job’ series “Døden på Jobbet”, Anders Ejby-Ernst, Fagbladet FOA, for a series of articles on the living conditions at social psychiatric homes, as well as Magnus Bredsdorff, Ingeniøren, and Magnus Boye, Version 2 for articles on surveillance.

The Anders Bording prizes are awarded this year for the 52nd time. They are named after the poet and journalist Anders Christensen Bording, who in 1666 published Den Danske Mercurius – the first printed Danish-language newspaper

Former winners of the media prize include Altinget, Samvirke, Folkeskolen, Realityportalen – and SCENARIO, which won the prize in 2011.

The prizes will be awarded on 23rd June at the Copenhagen City Hall.
